LIVE: Marina Abramović at SCAD Atlanta

I live streamed artist Marina Abramović’s “Performance Art and its Future” talk from SCAD Atlanta as part of SCAD’s deFINE ART 2011 program. The lecture took place from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24.

Click the rectangle at bottom right of the video window to view full screen.

From the deFINE ART schedule:
“Performance and visual art pioneer and the 2011 deFINE ART honoree Marina Abramović’s lecture follows the trajectory of performance art from the 1970s to the present. Her presentation poses the following questions: What is the future of performance art? Can it be re-performed? If so, under what conditions? Can it be taught and how? Can it be collected? Is it part of our mainstream culture or not? Free and open to the public, this event is part of the 2011 deFINE ART program.”

[Though Art Relish is not affiliated with SCAD, I do work there.]
