“Spirit Animals” at MINT

A “spirit” or “power animal” is a representation of a creature that represents one’s connection to the world, life, the individual’s personality traits, or power.

In the shamanic worldview, everyone has power animals or tutelary spirits which empower and protect them from harm, like guardian spirits or angels in the Abrahamic Traditions.

We asked artists throughout Atlanta to submit work inspired by their spirit animal. The exhibit will feature pieces from over 50 artists who work in a variety of mediums.

The night will also include a special vision quest led by The Back Pockets at 10 p.m.
