Alan Avery Art Company will feature new large and small-scale figurative sculptures from Russell Whiting, who is known for his pioneering technique of carving steel – sculpting metal with a torch. The gallery will also be exhibiting new works by Kirsten Stolle. Stolle’s mixed media paintings, encaustic work and prints focus on the effect of climate change and her view the “Anatomy of a Future Forest.” With this exhibition, the gallery introduces Kevin E. Taylor, a SCAD graduate whose paintings and drawings draw on our relationship with the environment – the tension between detachment and our underlying connection to nature.
The gallery will also be premiering Voice, a collaborative film by Taylor and Philip White.
Through May 14.
