They are all featured in the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art‘s upcoming presentation of “Material Girls: Contemporary Black Women Artists.”
The opening reception of Material Girls is on Thursday, September 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Make plans to participate in a discussion with artist Martha Jackson Jarvis, which begins at 7 p.m.
“Material Girls: Contemporary Black Women Artists” was developed and organized by the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. The exhibition is curated by Michelle Joan Wilkinson, Ph.D.
