The December “Pop Up Shops” on Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta were such a success, art host company AFFPS and Cartel Properties have teamed up to re-open the 805 Peachtree Street space to artists and handcrafters who want to display their work indoors. The empty commercial space is in the heart of Midtown and was a popular site for shoppers during the Holiday Artist Market held there in December. The Midtown Artist Market re-opens on Valentine’s Day weekend, Feb. 11-13, 2011 and kicks off with 25 participating artists, plus a special celebration of photographer Chieu Lee. A hosted bar, DJ, hors d’oeuvres and gift bags will enliven the shopping experience. Artists reserve their “studio space” in advance, but The Midtown Artist Market is free to attend.
The Midtown Artist Market will be the site for 25 artists and handcraft artisans including painters, photographers, jewelers and more on Valentine’s weekend February 11-13, 2011.
The event is organized and run by artist volunteers who understand the needs and challenges of artists and how best to connect with consumers during this challenging economy.
