Spring Gallery Walk at KSU

The Kennesaw State University Zuckerman Museum of Art announces the grand opening of their Spring Art Exhibitions on January 17, 2013. The exhibitions will feature rarely-seen Athos Menaboni illustrations, historic photographs of the Bell Bomber plant in Marietta GA, and two exhibitions highlighting the work of students, staff, and faculty from the School of Art and Design. The gallery walk will take place from 5-8 p.m. starting at the Clayton Gallery in the Bailey Performance Center (maps to the other exhibitions will be available). Chastain Park Arts Festival

FLUX NIGHT returns to the Castleberry Hill Arts District on Saturday, October 6. The evening will feature a diverse array of projects that include multimedia, sound, and light installations, projections, dance, performance, music, and other audience interactions. This annual event is an exciting glimpse into the range of temporary public art projects that are possible in our city. FLUX NIGHT kicks off at 8 p.m. with a parade celebrating Castleberry’s former red-light district, and projects continue until midnight. Fall Festival on Ponce

The “Fall Festival on Ponce” will host up to 175 (mostly) local artists and crafters September 15-16, 2012, in the chain of parks along Ponce de Leon Ave. This is the second year the famed Olmsted parks will be feted with art. Visitors will appreciate the extensive renovations and maintenance accomplished by the Olmsted Linear Park Alliance.
