Atlanta Contemporary Art Center (ACAC) announces the opening of its winter exhibitions on Fri., Jan. 11, 2013 at 7 p.m. These exhibitions were organized to highlight significant aspects of ACAC’s programmatic mission – to help in the creation of ambitious new works and to reveal connections between existing art and artists. All three exhibiting artists will attend the opening. Atlanta Printmakers Studio Silent Auction

The Atlanta Printmakers Studio 2nd Annual Silent Auction Fundraising Event will feature this year’s Print Big! 4 x 8 feet steamroller banners, original artwork, memberships, services, and other great items. Atlanta Printmakers Studio is a 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization promoting printmaking and arts education. Proceeds will support our in-studio classes, workshops, visiting artists, artist residencies, and facility maintenance. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia is exhibiting prints from Atlanta Printmakers Studio’s Emerging Artist Residency archives. Artists include: Jessica Caldas, Hannah Skoonberg, Whitney Stansell, Cynthia Thompson The Emerging Artist Residency program provides the resources necessary for emerging artists to complete a printmaking project of their proposal. “Pressing Matters III,” the Atlanta Printmakers Studio annual members exhibition will take place at City Gallery at Chastain Arts Center. Atlanta Printmakers Studio at the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Central Branch, July 18-Sept. 14, 2012. This exhibition includes the Folium Darwinii exchange portfolio, as well as banners from Print Big! 2012 which feature the themes of reading, books and literature. “Your Knot” at Ontologic

WonderRoot, in conjunction with Untie Atlanta, presents “Your Knot,” responding to transit challenges in Atlanta and the impending transportation referendum on July 31, 2012. Through this printmaking exhibition, WonderRoot seeks to explore, challenge, and inspire engagement as the region’s citizens consider whether and how to vote on this generational piece of legislation.
