“LOOKING IN” is a multimedia group installation featuring the work of emerging artists attending the Atlanta campus of Savannah College of Art and Design’s graduate school of sculpture. Set in a vacant storefront in Underground Atlanta, the artists have created two and three-dimensional sculpture in diverse mediums to explore a complex array of social and political issues dealing with topics such as: identity, deception, extinction, obsession, transition, and satire. By re-appropriating an empty storefront and not utilizing the entire space of the building the exhibition attempts to bring the work to the public by applying democratic ideals to the art experience.
Location: Underground Atlanta
70 Alabama St, on the corner of Alabama and Pryor
