| February 20, 2010 | ||
| 3:00 pm | to | 4:00 pm |
Atlanta artist Susan Robert will do a presentation discussing her new body of work involving an investigation of art history icons. In these new paintings, Robert considers different aspects of various masterpieces, focusing her inquiry upon deconstruction, color field arrangement, and formatting the paintings into a modern grid like context.
Robert, formerly a practicing attorney, has been working as an exhibiting artist since the late 1980’s and is greatly involved with the arts community in Atlanta and Highlands, North Carolina, where she now lives and works. Robert attended the Atlanta College of Art and Emory University. She is in many corporate and private collections, to name a few: Georgia Pacific, SunTrust Bank, King and Spalding, and Alston and Bird.
